instructions
  1. Mini Envelopes Card - 1 Create a blank, 14.5cm square, from white card and cover the front with yellow patterned paper. Fix a panel of black lined paper down the left edge. Stick pink ricrac over the join and secure the ends on the inside of the card, then put to one side.

2 Punch out nine envelope shapes from nine different patterned papers. Fold along the scored lines and stick the bottom section in place using double-sided tape. Die-cut five circles from white card and draw a letter in the centre of each to create the word 'valentine'.

3 Pierce evenly spaced holes around the drawn letters to create a guide for the stitching. Die-cut five circles from dark pink card and four from light pink card. Pierce holes into pink circles, then stitch in contrasting colours. Go over each letter three times with doubled-up thread to create an effective finish.

4 Fix a circle into each envelope using 3-D foam pads. Starting at the bottom-right corner, stick the first envelope to the base card using tape. Add the remaining envelopes to complete the design.

  2. I Love You - 1 Cover the top two thirds of an A6 tent-fold blank with yellow paper. Fix light grey patterned paper to the remaining area at the bottom. Cover the join with a length of pink stitched ribbon.

2 Punch three envelopes from complementary patterned papers. Fold and secure a bottom flap in place. Adhere the envelopes to the right of the card using foam pads.

3 Ink chipboard letters using the dark pink ink-pad and, when solid coverage is achieved, heat emboss with clear powder. Glue letters inside the outer envelopes.

4 Die-cut a large heart from pink card and tuck inside a central envelope, secure in place with foam pads in the top sections. To finish, glue a single gem to the heart.
