Hoop Display - 1 Separate the embroidery hoops and tighten up the screw on each outer so the ring is completely closed. With your chosen yarn colour, treat the ring as a st and dc into it multiple times to cover it entirely with closely spaced sts positioned on the outside of the hoop. Fasten off and weave the ends inside the sts.
2 Lay out the rings so they overlap one another and bind together with the same colour yarn as the topmost hoop. Ensure the tightening screws are all facing the same way for neatness, using two of them for hanging. Using 4mm hook make a ch of between 25 and 45. Skip the first st from the hook and dc back into the ch, fastening off at the end.
3 Allow the ch to spiral and use one yarn tail to sew straight through the middle of the coil, holding it in place. Use the rest of the yarn tails to hold the spirals on the covered hoops, threading them through at least 3cm of the sts before trimming the ends. Use varying sizes of pom-pom makers, leaving long tails when they are tied.
4 Arrange the pom-poms in clusters at the intersections of the hoops, tying in place and sewing the long ends through the sts as before. Weave in all ends.
