What you need...
  • Rectangular wooden plaque hanger (CLFFBLV057) (Country Love Crafts)
Martha Stewart Satin Paints: Hailstorm (PE32031), Surf (PE32016), Beetle Black (PE32082), Habanera (PE32050), Carrot (PE32059), Scottish Highlands (PE32003)
Martha Stewart Pearl Paint: Mother of Pearl (PE32127)
Martha Stewart Glitter Paint: Obsidian (PE32182)
    Speciality Sponge set (PE32227)
    Basic Brush set (PE32244)
    Fine Tip Tops (PE32233)
Craft Sheet (to use as mixing palette)
instructions
  1. 1 - Remove the cord from the wooden plaque and set aside. Squeeze Surf and Hailstorm paints onto craft sheet. Use the 3/4" flat bush to pick up both colours and paint the front of the plaque (choose the smoothest side) to give a soft sky effect.

  2. 2 - Squeeze out Mother of Pearl paint and dip the smaller end of the round speciality sponge into it. Dab off the excess and press the sponge onto the left of the plaque for the snowman head. Repeat with the larger end of the sponge, pressing just below this for the body. Sponge more paint along the bottom of the plaque for snow. Allow to dry.

  3. 3 - Following the images shown, use the #6 round brush to add black dots for eyes, mouth and buttons. Lightly draw the hat and scarf in with pencil and then paint with the Habanero and Scottish Highlands paints. Mix each colour with a little Black and use this to outline the hat and scarf. Add highlights with Mother of Pearl paint, then the nose with Carrot. Mix a little Black with Hailstorm and use for shading on the snowman and snow.

  4. 4 - Pencil in your choice of words. Replace the Obsidian Glitter paint lid with the #2 Tip Top and pipe over the words carefully. Use the Tip Top #2 on the Mother of Pearl bottle to add dots of snow. Once fully dry, replace the hanging cord, knotting at the front.
