Seed Journal - 1 - Cover the front and back of a notebook with plain paper, mitring the corners and folding over the excess. On the back page attach a generous length of ribbon across the middle, folding one end over to the spine edge and leaving the other tail free.
- Conceal the raw edges on the inside covers with a slightly smaller rectangle of patterned paper. Decorate the front of the journal with the different paper, then embellish using stickers, corners and chipboard 3-D ladybirds.
- When finished, measure the thickness, then from the back add a buckle to the ribbon and close the book with magnetic snaps. Cover all inner pages in your choice of papers. Cut to double the width of one page, fold in half, sandwich the journal leaf and glue in place.
- Once all pages are covered, attach ‘Information’ and ‘Notes’ labels printed from your computer. Add pockets for the seed envelopes by gluing a strip of paper along three sides to form a pouch. To make a photo mount, trim a square of paper to fit the picture, then cut diagonal slots at each corner.
- Decorate the pages with a selection of embellishments. Create a page-sized envelope to hold all the spare mini ones and attach to a plain page. On another leaf make a rectangular pocket of co-ordinating paper, and attach 3-D foam pads around three edges. Decorate with stickers and fill with plant tags.
