instructions
  1. Charm Bracelet - 1. Roll out two thin sausages of white and raspberry clay, and two thin sausages of white and peppermint. Lay the white and raspberry together and twist together, then repeat with the white and peppermint so that the colours blend together in both sausages. Coil the sausages up to create two peppermint sweets and one pink sweet.

    2. Roll out a fat sausage of peppermint and cut it into two thick round beads. Flatten two balls of pink clay to make discs, then make holes through all the designs allowing the clay to harden in a fridge as before and place on a baking tray. Blend a little white and pink with cognac clay to create a pale brown shade. Roll out on a cutting mat to 3mm thick and place the smallest gingerbread man template provided on top.

    3. Cut out two small gingerbread men with a sharp scalpel then gently stipple the clay with a wire brush. Blend raspberry and white clay to create pale pink, then roll a very thin sausage and cut short sections to provide icing stripes on the arms and legs. Roll a tiny ball of pink and flatten onto the face, making a little hole in the middle with a needle for the mouth, then repeat with black clay for the eyes and add two pink crystals for buttons. Push eye pins into the top of the gingerbread men and bake with the clay beads on a sheet of foil.

    4. Attach a toggle clasp to the ends of a 18cm length of round link belcher chain with 5mm jump rings. Thread four 7mm silver beads onto head pins, trim and loop the ends with round-nosed pliers. Slip a fuchsia xilion onto a head pin, followed by a pink clay disc and another fuchsia xilion. Trim and loop the end, then repeat for the other pink disc. Make up two more head pins in the same way with the round peppermint clay beads and two rose alabaster xilions each. Hang the beads from the bracelet and intersperse with the gingerbread men attached with 5mm jump rings, and the three sweets with 10mm jump rings.

  2. Make it yours - Substitute the pink crystals with browns and russets for a totally chocolate creation, or try a multicoloured set using jelly babies made from polymer clay.
