What you need...

• Arteza paint pouring kit
  Silicone oil
  Pots or plastic cups
  Gesso
  MDF coasters
  Felt
  Varnish

instructions

1. Paint Pouring Coasters - 1 Prepare your work area and use a tray as for the canvas. Prime the coasters with white gesso. Pour your chosen colours into separate cups, add a few drops of silicone oil and gently stir a couple of times.
   
   2 Pour a little paint on the coasters alternating between colours. Tip them around until they are covered, and you have a pattern that you like. Leave to dry as for the canvas.
   
   3 Apply gilding polish to the edge of the coasters. Cover the coasters with a heat resistant varnish if you are going to put hot cups on them. Once dry, adhere coordinating felt to the bottom of the coasters.
