Rubber Duck: To embroider beak, tie two long overhand knots of four wraps each, butted up to each other in centre of length of orange yarn. Pass tails through Duck’s head above and below bill area so they reappear in same spot at back of head. Pull tightly to create pointed beak, knot ends tog and trim. Weave in all ends -
How to whip stitch - This is used to sew two layers together along their edges. Start the stitch between the two layers and bring the needle through the front. At a slight diagonal angle, sew a stitch that overlaps the edge, passing the needle through the back fabric, and sewing through the two layers at another slight angle through to the front, just up from the starting point.
