Gilding flakes are a wonderful medium to work with, and the results on this thank you card are stunning! Use your stamps as normal, but apply special glue, instead of ink. The gilding flakes are sprinkled over and any excess is removed by hand. Transfer the flakes into a larger lidded box, this makes it easier to apply them to the image and reduces waste. Add a label for easy storage. The glue is extremely tacky, so you do not need to use too much on the foam wedge; have baby wipes nearby to keep your hands glue-free. After use, wash both foams in warm soapy water and leave to dry. Don’t leave the glue to sit for too long on the stamp. It will become too tacky and ruin the surface of the card when you lift it off. Clean stamps straight away with isopropanol alcohol. This can also be used to remove any stubborn blobs of glue.
