On 6th February this year, Queen Elizabeth II became the first British monarch to celebrate their Platinum Jubilee, marking her 70th year on the throne. To honour this extra-special occasion, there will be various events throughout the year, including a four-day bank holiday from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June – the perfect opportunity to throw a party! The great British street party is a national institution with families and friends setting up tables outside (weather allowing!), hanging up bunting, sharing food and drink, and playing games.
