Use our simple wood engraving techniques to beautify your home this autumn

Looking for something a bit different to test your crafting skills on? Then, you’ll love Jane Kharade’s wood engraving ideas. Simply lay down a background colour, stencil on the leaves using sticky-backed plastic, then carve out the design to reveal the wood underneath. Here, the technique has been taken a step further; a base coat of white is added before the pink background colour. As the shapes of the leaves are carved out, a stunning contrasting white line is revealed.
