instructions
  1. Chain Watch - 1. Take 42 multi-faceted beads of assorted bronze shades and lay them out in the following order, arranging each section in two rows; four sets of four, one set of ten, then another four sets of four. The third gem along in both rows of the biggest section will be the centre of the bracelet. Reverse the pattern at this point, so each side of the design mirrors the other.

    2. Snip elastic, 50cm, and pass through one of the loops on the watch face, pulling the ends together so the two lengths are the same size. Feed on the first set of four beads, two gems on each strand, then thread both ends through a jump ring.

    3. Continue to thread the beads onto the elastic in the same sequence until the final set of four. For this grouping, feed two gems onto one end then pass it through the other loop on the watch face. Add the two remaining beads then secure both ends with a reef knot, adding a dot of glue to the join.

    4. Allow to dry, then trim the excess as close to the knot as possible. Feed a Swarovski briolette onto a head pin. Grip the protruding wire close to the bead using roundnosed pliers and bend at a 90° angle. Trim the excess, leaving 1cm.

    5. Holding the tip of the strand with pliers, coil it back round on itself to form a loop. Just before it is fully formed, attach silver chain, 2cm, then close. Add a jump ring to the other end of the chain, then fix it to the knotted elastic to secure.
