instructions
-
wedding corsage - 1 Cut linen, 10cm x 12.5cm, and back with interfacing. Trim floral fabric, 6cm x 7cm, and coat the back with adhesive. Place onto the linen, 2cm from the top. Stitch twice around the edges, then sew a scallop effect.
2 Cut a blue fabric heart and adhere lace across the middle. Attach to the floral fabric. Sew around the top and bottom in a contrasting thread. Stitch ‘wedding day’ across the bottom.
3 Fold cream ribbon into three loops. Tack together and position as shown, then add a lace flower and button. Stitch through the button holes.
4 Leaving a border of 0.5cm, bend all the edges onto the reverse, sticking the corners down after trimming away the excess. Stick thick card, 5.5cm x 8cm, to the back, leaving equal distance around the edges.
5 Cut felt, 7cm x 9cm, then adhere a metal brooch back about two thirds of the way up. Finally, stick the piece of finished felt to the back of your brooch using a glue stick, sticking the edges down securely. -
Gift Tag - 1 Cut cream linen, 5.5cm x 10cm, and stick onto a luggage label. Stitch decorative detail in contrasting thread around the edge. Back with blue fabric, then add a length of lace and two wedding stickers.
2 Add three pieces of heart table confetti and a blue punched paper flower, then adhere a lace flower and lilac paper rose.
3 Stitch a pearl button to the bottom and a sparkly gem to the heart. Add a bow to the top and a co-ordinating ribbon through the tag to tie. -
Confetti Sachet - 1 Cut an envelope shape from linen and one from floral, allowing for an 0.5cm seam allowance. Back the linen with a medium-weight interfacing. Trim a rectangle from floral fabric, 7cm x 8.5cm.
2 Coat the back with adhesive and place onto the linen envelope, as shown. Stitch around it twice with a contrasting thread to secure. Stick blue fabric, 1.5cm x 13cm, to the middle, laying a lace band on top.
3 Stitch across the lace to secure. Cut out a blue fabric heart and stick securely over the band. Sew around the edge, then iron the linen on the back. Pin fabric to the decorative piece, right sides together.
4 Fold cream ribbon, 6cm, in half and tuck inside so the loop is between the two pinned pieces. Stitch all the way around and trim excess fabric from the corners and top of the triangle, then turn right side out.
5 Iron along the edges. Make coffee ribbon, 24cm, into three loops by folding and tacking it together with a couple of hand stitches. Place onto the blue heart, then top with a lace flower and pearly button.
6 Secure by stitching through the buttonholes. Fold the bottom third of the envelope up to make the pocket, hand stitching the edges, then the flap of the envelope down. Sew on a large button so the loop fits snugly.
