instructions
-
Stitch eight strips of fabric together, edge to edge with a 5mm seam allowance to make a 17cm x 20cm panel and press. Make a second panel in the same way.
-
Pin the panels face to face so the strips line up and use our heart template (find this in December 12 template pack, available tin the downloads section of our website) to draw two shapes (one inverted) on one side of the fabric.
-
Cut out the shapes including a 5mm seam allowance around each one. Stitch around the edges leaving a 4cm gap for turning on a straight section of each heart.
-
Clip the curves, turn out and press each heart, using a point turner if necessary. Fill with a mixture of dried lavender and fibre filling before folding in the raw edges of the gap and slipstitching closed.
-
Tie a bow in the end of a long loop of spotted ribbon. Stitch the bow to the top of the heart and use the loops for hanging.
