instructions
  1. Heart Card - 1. Fold a lilac A5 card in half to form a blank. Cut turquoise dupion silk, 6cm x 10cm, and fray all four edges. Trim a 75cm length of pink Filz Merino wool, gather it up roughly into a heart shape and start to felt it on the Janome embellisher machine.

    2. Once it begins to flatten out, concentrate on shaping it to form a heart. It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions. If you have difficulty working with only wool then cut a small heartshaped piece of firm material such as denim, and felt the wool onto that. Continue until it has felted together into a solid shape.

    3. Needlefelt three rows of pink yarn and a single row of purple gingham ribbon along the bottom of the silk piece. The ribbon will pucker up so don't worry. Sew turquoise rocaille beads onto the felted heart, attaching it to the silk at the same time. Use double-sided tape to secure the panel onto green card, 6cm x 9cm. Secure to the blank with foam pads.
