Create a lovely co-ordinated look using just one paper stack

instructions
  1. Windmill - 1 Fold card in half. Using the template as a guide, cut a tall windmill shape so that the fold is at the top. Cover with floral paper and use a sharp craft knife to create a window in the centre.

2 Cut the sails from a square card. Cover each sail with curved line paper in sections and add a disc of contrasting paper over the middle join. Punch a hole at the top of the windmill and at the centre of the sails. Join the two pieces with a brad so that the sails will spin round.

3 Stamp and matt a greeting onto a small rectangle of paper. Fix this inside the card so that it appears in the window. Decorate the sails with punched butterfly shapes so that they overlap the edges.

  2. Thank you - 1 Cut a panel from large floral print paper, ensuring the main part of the design falls on the right-hand side. Stick to a bright pink tentfold card leaving a border all round. Trim a rectangle of coordinating print paper. Wrap a length of grosgrain ribbon down one long side fixed in place with doublesided tape.

2 Fold under 5mm on the opposite side. Fix this fold to the left side of the card. Place tape on the short sides of the rectangle and attach so the panel bows slightly in the middle.

3 Make a panel from a small square of plain paper. Decorate with flowers and fix a stamped and matted greeting in place. Use a tiny flower punch to add extra embellishments.

  3. Garden shed - 1 Cut a shed shape from of card and cover with striped paper. Shape the door, scoring the left side so it will open and close. Punch two small holes in the side of the door and tie through it as a handle.

2 Cut of floral paper, 9cm x 12.5cm. Score on all four sides at 5mm and 10mm intervals from the edges. Remove the squares at the corners where the score lines intersect and concertina fold the sides. Fix the folded panel to the back of the shed.

3 Decorate the inside with punched flowers and a stamped greeting. Make a stand for the shed by gluing a hinge panel attached at the top.

  4. Butterfly - 1 Cut a butterfly shape from an A5 card blank, leaving the left hand edges of the wings attached at the fold. Cover the front with patterned paper, keeping the print in the centre.

2 Glue a small circle of coordinating paper to the middle of the shape and add a printed greeting and a scattering of small punched flowers. Create a larger circle from decorative paper, positioning a flower in the centre.

3 Score and fold a narrow piece on one side of the large circle and use this tab to fix it in place over the greeting; when opened it will reveal a message. Add a scattering of punched butterfly shapes to finish.

  5. Pink flower - 1 Cover a square blank with large flower paper. Snip around the outline of the print with small scissors, leaving a folded edge and base intact so the card stands up properly. If it's easier, cut the card front first, draw around the outline onto the inside, then trim the back.

2 Make a small pocket of contrasting paper; take a piece, 7cm x 8cm, and score at 5mm and 10mm intervals from the edge on three sides. Fold in the edges, fix to the left side of the card with tape, before decorating with another cut-out flower.

3 Create a tag from spare card and cover with paper. Punch a hole in the top to thread ribbon through. Write your message on the back before slipping into the pocket.

  6. Pocket card - 1 Cover a blue card blank with polka dot paper. Place a block border print strip down the left side of the card. Cut a rectangle of floral paper. Score and fold in 1cm on one short side and both long edges.

2 Cut a semicircle from the centre of the unfolded edge before fixing the pocket to the middle of the card. Layer floral elements over the bottom of the pocket.

3 Decorate card and write a personalised message in the middle. Punch a hole in the top and thread with co-ordinating ribbon before slipping the card into the pocket, as shown.
