Say hello to paper piercing, a classic technique loved by the Victorians

If you want a craft technique that won’t cost a lot of pennies, doesn’t take up space and craft materials and makes no mess, then paper piercing is for you. This was one of the techniques I was aware of, but not familiar with. All you do is simply ‘prick’ holes into your chosen paper or card with a pin, either freehand or following a template. The results can be stunning and add that bit of extra flair to your project. The ‘Mr & Mrs’ wording for weddings is big at the moment and I thought I’d keep it on trend by designing a card for a wedding using simple wording that’s easy to copy, hearts and decorative lines. I’ve kept the design the main focal point of the card by not over embellishing the actual pierced section and using a clean modern colour palette.
