Hello dolly
Cathie Shuttleworth’s home accessories will look fab in any room
Inspired by the Japanese figurines representing the Seven Lucky Gods, a Russian crafts painter set about making eight nesting dolls. 120 years later, matryoshka dolls (Russian dolls to you or me!) are made all over the globe and the iconic design crops up in all kinds of artwork including the pages of CB! Cathie’s intricately decorated designs are real head-turners, and would look fantastic in a nursery, dining room or kitchen. Plus, with the handy use of a stencil, the intricate design can be recreated in minutes.
Top tip
Don’t apply too much paint to the stencil as the colours will bleed underneath it!
