The project features zig-zag appliqué, which adds a beautiful finish to bold motifs and is a great skill to perfect. Take your time on corners and curves, always leave your needle down in the fabric and turn it to create a smooth outer line. You can use a straight stitch if you’re not confident with zig-zag appliqué. These bold primary colours are so classically festive. Plus as everything is made from felt, it’s great for kids to have a go at making too.
