I was so excited when asked to do a master class on paper cutting. It’s a technique that I have admired for quite some time. The lovely thing about paper cutting is that you don’t need a lot of supplies to get started, most of the items you will already have in your craft stash. I’ve decided to show you the technique using tracing paper, so that you can then create your own designs. I’ve come up with a lovely spring like bird illustration which is suitable for beginners. The key to successful paper cutting is a sharp knife and most important of all, patience! The technique can be quite time consuming depending on the intricacy of the design, but it is still a very relaxing craft that produces stunning results.
