The craze for digital crafting has grown in the last couple of years, with crafters really embracing technology as they become more comfortable with using the internet as a craft resource. Crafting digitally initially means you can purchase, download and print images from the comfort of your own home; there is a wealth of product and downloadable material available that can easily be stored on your PC to access whenever you like. Print off digital motifs or stamps and colour them in, or if you have a graphics program, be a little more adventurous and start re-sizing or incorporating them with other digital elements. Images can be coloured digitally too, using a Microsoft Paint program which comes already installed on most PC’s with everything on there to get you started. However, please remember when working with any digital image always check the designers/ manufactures guidelines on usage.
