Being a crafter is tough work: long hours spent covered in glitter, thinking about Christmas in the height of summer and being distracted by anything that can be upcycled and turned into something new. *SIGH*, if only people knew! How many of the craft problems below can you relate to? If you’re anything like us, it will be all of them!
1
Spilling into the rest of the house when you promised the family that your craft stash would all be contained in one area.
2
When you go out shopping with the intention of buying clothes and homeware but instead spend the whole time saying “How much? I can make that myself!”
3
A trip to Hobbycraft or your favourite craft store requires a huge amount of self-restraint and you must be accompanied by a non-craft friend or significant other in order to stop spending.
4
You moan that your craft stash is getting out of hand but you refuse to throw anything away – there’s always something to be made from it!
5
You get annoyed when your only window in the day to craft gets interrupted – after all, what could be more important than crafting?
6
You can’t remember what your life consisted of before crafting came around.
7
The biggest lie you tell to yourself and family is how much you spend on craft supplies “I only spent £20” – two hours after walking out of the shop with a pocket £200 lighter!
8
When your partner tells you that you’re going to a show, you automatically think it’s a craft show and start making a list of all the pretty things you’re going to buy, before they quickly tell you that it isn’t THAT type of show!
9
When you get all excited about the new issue of Crafts Beautiful but realise you’re a week too early – don’t worry it’s always worth the wait!
